Windshield Repair

'); // --> There are few things more annoying than driving down the road peacefully, only to see a small stone come up and put a nice crack in your car's windshield. Whether just a small chip is made, or a noticeable crack, getting a windshield that has been damaged repaired should always be a top priority. For safety reasons, it is important to get a windshield repaired right away, but perhaps equally important, a windshield that is left unrepaired will generally worsen over time, and may eventually require a full replacement. A windshield that hasn't been repaired can go from an under $100 repair (in many cases, or even as low as $15 for repair kits), to a complete replacement that can cost $300 to $1000, or even more. Thankfully, there are a few options for you to easily have your vehicle's windshield repaired. Mainly, these are: - Contact a mobile service that will come out to your home or workplace, and repair the window while you wait. - Contact a local auto glass repair shop, and take your vehicle in to them for the repair. - Purchase a windshield repair kit, and attempt to repair the window yourself. All three options are quite viable, but if you are considering repairing the windshield yourself, keep in mind that while the cheapest route, your overall repair quality (and how long it stands up over time) will depend on both the quality of the kit you purchase, as well as your own skill in applying it. If your windshield is damaged beyond what a windshield repair can offer, then replacement is the only other option. Check online glass sellers, as they will often have the best prices available on windshields for all makes and models. Many either have mobile installers that will install the windshield you purchase, or connect you to a local installer that can do the work for you. |
