Business Checks

Business checks are likely one of the first things you will need to find when you start a new business. Unless you will be using a credit card to make all of your business purchases a reliable source of good quality business checks should be a top priority. They provide you with a good means of tracking expenses in one place and the cancelled check is considered a receipt that can be used to settle payment disputes with vendors should the need ever arise.

Checks for business come in many different styles. You can purchase wallet-style checks that look much like your personal checks if you will be writing them by hand. Or, you may choose a three to a page binder system that has a register sheet attached to each check, so you can keep track of your balance simply and easily. You can usually have your company's logo printed on them.

Payroll-style checks come with a stub on each check where you can record taxes and deductions you take out of your employee's pay. You can also choose to keep track of your expenses using accounting software, and print your checks with a computer. If you select computer checks, you typically have the same range of styles as do pre-printed checks.
