Projector Rental Tips

Renting a LCD video projector can be easy if done correctly. Below are some tips we have compiled to help you make your LCD projector rental go smoothly.

1. Plan your LCD projector rental in advance

Although many rental services offer overnight delivery when a projector is needed in a pinch, the shipping costs can be expensive. Even when working with a local service, planning in advance will allow you to make sure the right type of projector is available for rent. We recommend arranging your rental at least 5-7 days in advance of your projector needs.

2. Carefully consider room size, viewing distance and room brightness

All LCD projectors have different capabilities. Make sure you are renting the right type of projector for the type of presentation you are giving. Consider the size of your audience, their viewing angle, how far they will be from the projection screen, and how bright the room will be at the time of your presentation. If you need a larger projection image, or will be presenting in a fairly bright room, make sure the LCD projector you rent is powerful enough to handle this. Check our section on choosing which LCD projectors to rent for more information.

3. If you need to be mobile, consider the projector's size and weight

During your LCD projector rental period, consider if you will be needing to move the projector from room to room, or from office to office. Larger, more powerful projectors can often be considerably larger and heavier compared to projectors designed for mobility. If you are going to be moving the projector, make sure that you rent one that includes a carry case to make your life easier, and to minimize risk of damage during your moves.
