Aviation Schools

Aviation schools provide education and training for individual seeking a pilots or other aviation related vocation. While it is possible to obtain a pilots license most aviation schools, you can also gain training and experience in the areas of air traffic control, airport management, aircraft sales, or even become a certified flight instructor. The cost of aviation schools will vary depending on the selected curriculum and length of study. For example it is possible to spend as much as $10,000 to obtain a pilots license with an instrument rating.

Since most aviation schools are private institutions they are not eligible for government grants and loans. There are sometimes special aviation based scholarships available for the most deserving students and some schools fund work-study and internship programs to help the students fund the cost of the tuition. Special “Career Training” loans are also available for qualified students.
