Elearning

A fairly recent introduction, elearning (also somtimes written out as e-learning), refers to training, tutoring or other learning programs that are computer or Internet-based. Elearning is a pretty broad definition, and basically represents any electronic or computerized form of learning or training. Examples include online training programs, CD-ROM-based courses, and even wireless tools designed to teach.

After a few false starts during the dot-com boom (and bust), elearning has since grown to be an important part of many school and corporate training programs. Elearning programs range from basic tutorial courses for learning how to use computers, to sophisticated training for advanced software applications, network systems and enterprise-level applications.
