'); // --> Shopping for a gas grill has never been easier. Thanks to the wide variety of online retailers that are able to stock dozens or even hundreds of types of gas grills - far more than a typical store - finding the type of gas grill that fits your needs has never been easier. Deciding on the right gas grill can be a challenge however, with the large number of models available to select from today. Here are a few pointers for selecting the right gas grill for your needs: - Start by considering the size of the grill you need. How many people will you be grilling for? Are you planning to entertain often, or have family over? Ideally, you will want a gas grill that is able to handle enough food for your typical-sized dinner party, so everyone can eat at once. Note that larger gas grills can take longer to heat up however, and generally cost more as well. - Consider how often you plan to grill. If you are going to be grilling frequently, you will want a quality, well-built grill that will last for years. Typically, cheap grills will save you money in the short run, but may not last as long and need replacement sooner. Cheaper grills are often harder to start, as well as clean afterwards. - Do you want additional features in your gas grill such as a rotisserie, the ability to work as a smoker, or side burners for preparing other dishes at the same time? - Look for a gas grill that has at least two main burners, allowing you to control each side independently. Many grilling recipes will require the use of direct or indirect heat. Having only one burner doesn't allow this and can make grilling certain cuts of meat difficult. - Look for a gas grill that uses ceramic bricks or lava rocks to absorb and maintain heat. These are easily replaced if needed, stay relatively clean and have superior heat absorbtion properties. - Will you need your gas grill to be portable? Some models are easier to move than others. Many gas grills will come with casters (typically on just one end), allowing you to easily roll the grill around if needed. - Look for a gas grill that includes side shelves. You will almost always have a plate or two to set down, as well as a variety of grill tools to manage. |
